A celebration of fibre arts in the Ottawa Valley

Beachburg Fibrefest brings together spinners, weavers, felters, knitters, and anyone who is curious about where fibre comes from and where it can go. Held at the Beachburg Agricultural Society fairgrounds (home of the annual Beachburg Fair since 1857), the festival honours the deep textile traditions of the Ottawa Valley.

Whether you're an experienced artisan or picking up a spindle for the first time, there is something here for you: hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, a fibre and textile vendor market, agricultural heritage displays, and animal encounters with the animals behind the fleece.

Learn something new

Five workshops run across the weekend. It is a chance to pick up a new skill, get creative, and meet other fibre people. Every class is open to any skill level, and most take fewer than ten people, so sign up early.
